Man arrested for sexually assaulting girl under pretext of marriage

HARIPUR: Police have arrested a suspect for allegedly sexually assaulting a girl from Sargodha for a month after luring her with a false promise of marriage.

Sarai Saleh police arrested the suspect and a case was registered against him.

The incident took place in the Karori Parhary area within the jurisdiction of Sarai Saleh Police Station, where a 19/20-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted after the suspect  called her to marry her.

Based on the victim’s complaint, the suspect, Mohsin, was arrested by the police. The suspect is a resident of Karori Parhary.

Police said the suspect had allegedly abducted the girl from a private hostel in Islamabad and kept her with him for a month..

The police have started further investigation. Police said that parents took the girl to Sargodha after medico-legal formalities.

MAN KILLS BROTHER OVER PROPERTY DISPUTE

Meanwhile, a man killed his brother over a property dispute in the Changi Bandi area of Haripur. The suspect, a former police official named Mazhar, allegedly shot and killed his 67-year-old brother Irshad during an argument over a propert dispute.

According to sources, the incident occurred in the Sarai Saleh area of Changi Bandi, where Mazhar opened fire, fatally injuring his elder brother Irshad.

The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination at the trauma centre.

The accused managed to flee the scene. Police have registered a case and launched further investigation.
