Heat persists across Pakistan, strong winds also likely

ISLAMABAD: Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country on Monday, while the plains are expected to be extremely hot on Monday, said the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
Going region by region, hot and dry weather is expected in Islamabad and its surroundings. While it is expected to be extremely hot during the day, strong winds are also expected during this time.
Most districts of Punjab will also get hot and dry weather, while it is expected to be extremely hot in the plains. Strong and dusty winds are expected in the plains in the afternoon.
Likewise, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, hot and dry weather is predicted along with extremely hot weather for plains in the province. However, in the evening and night hours, it is expected to be partly cloudy in the upper districts. Light rain is also possible in Chitral, Dir and its surroundings.
The met department predicts hot and dry weather, with soaring mercury and strong, dusty winds for Sindh and Balochistan as well.
Gilgit-Baltistan, however, will remain partly cloudy today, especially in the evening and night hours.
Weather is expected to be hot and dry in Kashmir on Monday, PMD said.
