MUMBAI: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has openly confirmed that Israel provided military support to India during “Operation Sindoor” against Pakistan in May 2025.
The operation was part of India’s strikes on multiple locations inside Pakistan, carried out after the Pahalgam incident.
According to NDTV World, Netanyahu admitted that Israel supplied New Delhi with advanced weapons, including Barak-8 surface-to-air missiles and Harpy drones.

He claimed the systems performed “excellently” in the field, calling them a successful test of Israel’s latest defence technology.
“The equipment we gave earlier worked very well on the ground… we develop our weapons in combat and they are battle-tested,” NDTV quoted Netanyahu as saying. “They worked fine, and we have a strong base to build on.”
Alongside Israeli arms, India also used the Russian-made S-400 missile defence system during the operation. Harpy drones were deployed to destroy enemy radar installations, while Barak-8 missiles were used to counter aerial threats.
Despite the cooperation between Tel Aviv and New Delhi, Pakistan’s military response was described as robust. Using advanced tactics and technology, Islamabad managed to neutralise India’s offensives and block its strategic objectives.
