Sara Sharif’s parents leave for UK to face daughter’s murder investigation

ISLAMABAD: The family of the British girl, Sara Sharif, who tragically lost her life under mysterious circumstances in the UK, returned to Britain from Pakistan, it emerged on Wednesday.
They included her father, Irfan Sharif, her stepmother Beenish Batool, and Irfan’s brother, Faisal Malik.
According to Raja Haq Nawaz, the lawyer for Irfan Sharif’s father, Muhammad Sharif, the three individuals left for the UK voluntarily.
A spokesperson for Jhelum police Mudasir Khan confirmed the departure of the three wanted individuals to Britain.
Raja Haq Nawaz further explained that Irfan Sharif, his wife Beenish Batool, and his brother Faisal Malik left for Dubai had left via the Emirates Airline for further travel to the UK. Despite police raids, they managed to evade arrest and left Pakistan.
Sara Sharif had met with a mysterious death in the UK, which had raised many questions. Investigations are ongoing in the UK to ascertain the circumstances of her demise.
It is important to note that Sara Sharif had tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances in the UK last month, leading to investigations, in the UK and Pakistan, into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Jhelum police take custody of Sara Sharif’s five siblings
Earlier, Irfan Sharif’s five children were taken into custody by Jhelum police from their father Muhammad Sharif’s house on Monday.
On Wednesday, a local court handed them over to the Lahore Child Protection Bureau.
The children were presented before the District and Sessions Judge in Jhelum, during which a delegation of the British High Commission was also present.
After the hearing, the senior civil judge issued orders to hand over Irfan Sharif’s children to the Child Protection Bureau.
The British police want to interrogate Irfan Sharif, his wife Beenish Batool over Sarah Sharif’s death.
