Emirates halts flight operations to Israel for indefinite period

Emirates Israel

WEB DESK: Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced the suspension of flights to and from Tel Aviv until further notice due to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

“We are closely monitoring the situation in Israel and are in close contact with the relevant authorities,” said an Emirates spokesperson while speaking to Gulf News.

He further mentioned, “Customers with onward connections to Tel Aviv on Emirates flights will not be accepted for travel at their point of origin until further notice.”

“Customers affected by the suspension should contact their booking agents for alternatives, refunds, cancellations or for rebooking their flight itineraries,” the spokesperson added.

Emirates initially cancelled its Tel Aviv flights on October 12 due to safety concerns amid the Israel-Hamas conflict that erupted on October 7. Subsequently, the airline extended the suspension multiple times, with announced extensions reaching up to October 26, and November 14, and a final extension until November 30. Notably, this marks the first instance of Emirates indefinitely suspending operations to Tel Aviv.
