Sindh CM orders daytime ban on heavy vehicles in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Caretaker Chief Minister, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar, has ordered a restriction on the movement of heavy vehicles on Karachi’s streets, effective from 6am to 11pm.

The ban applies to all heavy vehicles, except those involved in the transportation of essential goods, including food, medicine, and fuel.

During his visits, the caretaker chief minister observed the critical issue of traffic congestion and emphasised the necessity of addressing this concern.

To enforce compliance, the caretaker chief minister has directed legal action against any violations of the imposed restriction. This proactive measure aims to ensure the effective implementation of the ban and promote safer road conditions in Karachi.
