Son of Tipu Truckanwala fatally shot in Lahore

LAHORE: The son of Tipu Truckanwala Ameer Balaj Tipu was fatally shot on Sunday in Lahore, in what the police suspect to be a targeted killing.

The shooting took place during a wedding ceremony, where an unknown assailant opened fire on Ameer Balaj, resulting in gunshot wounds.

According to the police report, the assailant was subsequently gunned down in retaliatory firing by Balaj’s security guard. Two other individuals were also injured during the crossfire.

All three victims were promptly transported to a local hospital, where Ameer Balaj succumbed to his injuries. The two injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.

The matter is currently under investigation.

Ameer Bala Tipu’s father Tipu Truckanwala was similarly shot dead in 2010, and his grandfather in 1994.
