KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has reached a new historic milestone as it closed at an all-time high, with the benchmark KSE-100 index witnessing a significant surge of 870 points. The index concluded the trading session at an impressive level of 67,756 points, marking a notable increase of 1.30 per cent.
This growth comes as a testament to the resilience and positive momentum observed in the Pakistani equities market.

On Wednesday, the benchmark KSE-100 index opened at 66,886.26 points. By 1:20, the index had jumped even further up to 67,783.65 points. By closing time, the index had come negligibly down to 67,756.03 points.
Analysts have attributed the upward trajectory to a variety of factors, including robust corporate earnings, positive economic indicators, and favourable investor sentiment. Part of this growth can also be attributed to expectations of a policy rate cut by the central bank.
