Shaheen Afridi refuses vice captaincy of T20 World Cup matches

LAHORE: Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Afridi has declined the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) offer of  vice-captaincy for the T20 World Cup matches.

The selection committee had offered Shaheen to become the team’s vice-captain and skipper Babar Azam’s second in command, which the left-arm pacer refused to accept.

According to sources, he said that he would play as a bowler in the national team.
