Sunday weather update: hot, dry weather with localised thundershowers

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that weather will remain hot and dry in most parts of the country on Sunday. However, there is a possibility of thundershowers at a few places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.
Going area by area, PMD predicts that in Islamabad and surrounding areas the weather will stay hot and dry.

Similarly, Punjab will experience hot and dry conditions in most districts, although Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas might see rain with thunder in the afternoon.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will have hot and dry weather, but rain with thunder is expected in Chitral, Swat, Dir, Balakot, Mansehra, Kohistan, and Waziristan.
Sindh will also see hot and dry weather in most districts, with coastal areas being hot and humid, and a chance of light rain or drizzling along the coastal belt.
Balochistan will have hot and dry weather in most districts, with the southern districts and Makran experiencing very hot conditions.

Kashmir is expected to remain partly cloudy, with strong winds and thundershowers likely at a few places.
Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan is anticipated to be partly cloudy, with strong winds and thundershowers at a few locations.
