Interior Minister commends security forces for successful operation in Tank

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operation against terrorists in Tank. He commended their efforts, highlighting how they had foiled the terrorists’ intentions in the region.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, Naqvi reported that security forces had brought four terrorists to an end in a joint operation. This operation marked a significant victory in the ongoing battle against terrorism. He praised the security forces for their dedication and resolve in combating terrorist threats.

Naqvi emphasised that the security forces are actively engaged in fighting against terrorists, showcasing their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the nation. He stressed the importance of their role in maintaining stability and protecting the citizens.

The Federal Interior Minister also acknowledged the strong support of the nation for the security forces. He noted that the people stand united with the security forces in the war for the survival of the country. This unity, he said, is crucial for overcoming the challenges posed by terrorism.

In his address, Mohsin Naqvi honoured the soldiers of the security forces, referring to them as the nation’s capital and pride. He underscored their bravery and the sacrifices they make in the line of duty.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the operation by the armed forces.

The security forces carried out an operation in Tank district on tip-off, a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said. Four foreign terrorists were killed in exchange of fire, while arms and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of dead foreign terrorists, ISPR reported.

Govt issues cyber security alert over risks from malicious emails, messages

Killed terrorists were involved in attacks on security forces, kidnapping and killing of citizens. ISPR is also carrying out a clearance operation to clear the area from terrorists, the ISPR said.PTI faces FIA probe over social media
