Traffic plan for Pakistan Vs Bangladesh test matches in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Police (CTP) has chalked out a comprehensive alternate traffic plan for the convenience of the commuters during the Pakistan Vs Bangladesh test matches starting from August 18 till August 15 at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium
According to the traffic plan for the Pakistan vs Bangladesh test matches, Murree Road will be closed from Faizabad to Double Road at the time of arrival and departure of the teams.
Shuttle service will be provided by the district administration to access the stadium from the parking area.
Meanwhile, the traffic coming from Islamabad will be diverted towards Expressway from Faizabad.

From Rawalpindi to Islamabad, the entry into Islamabad will be by using 6th Road Saidpur Road.
During the match, Stadium Road will be completely closed for traffic from both directions from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road turn.
Meanwhile, traffic will be diverted coming from Islamabad to 9th Avenue via Faizabad Expressway and IJP Road.
Pandora Chongi, Katariyan, Carriage Factory, Pirwadhai Mor can be used to enter Rawalpindi.
A total of 367 police officers and wardens will be be on duty to manage traffic on alternate routes and facilitate public movement during the matches. Information banners about alternate routes and parking have been displayed on major roads to guide the citizens.
Traffic updates will be provided through the official pages and FM radio stations.
