Video: American woman makes world record of loudest burp

Maryland: A United States woman, Kimberly “Kimycola,” has set a world record for performing the world’s loudest burp.

In order to set a new record, she had to burp inside a sound recording studio to ensure that any echoes or reflections were minimized. Winter chose to make her record attempt during the live broadcast of the well-known radio talk show ‘Elliot in the Morning,’ which is hosted by DJ Elliot Segal at the iHeartRadio station.

“Her bellowing belch was 107.3 decibels loud, surpassing the previous record of 107 dB, achieved by Elisa Cagnoni (Italy) in 2009. The male record is held by Neville Sharp (Australia), who did a 112.7 dB burp in 2021.”

Before performing her burp, she prepared by consuming breakfast, along with coffee and beer. Kimberly arrived at this specific combination after weeks of trial and error, during which she figured out which foods and beverages would enable her to produce the loudest burp.
