Man shot dead in Karachi, police suspect targeted killing

WEB DESK: A 50-year-old man was shot dead in Orangi Town in Karachi on Monday. According to rescue officials confirmed, the 50-year-old victim was a masjid Imam named Sherzada, was a resident of Banaras Pathan Colony. The police was able to recover his mobile phone and are suspecting targeted killing.
The incident occurred during Sehri time, and the victim was shot once in the head, which proved fatal. His body was shifted to the hospital. The police are also investigating as to why the slain was present at the crime scene.
The deceased was the prayer leader at a mosque in Altaf Nagar and was on his way to lead prayers when he was targeted. The authorities are trying to contact the victim’s family to ascertain more details of the incident.
