Anti-state campaigns to be tackled with iron hand

ISLAMABAD: The civil and military leadership has vowed to tackle anti-state campaigns on traditional and digital media with a strong response.
The reaffirmation was made in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting was attended by civil, military leadership and representatives from all four provinces, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, according to sources.
It was decided to leave no stone unturned in exposing those responsible for the attack on Jaffar Express.
The meeting resolved to counter the anti-state campaign on traditional and digital media with a strong response. There was consensus on strengthening the national narrative under the National Action Plan, sources said.

The committee was instructed to formulate an effective narrative to counter terrorists and miscreants.
It was decided to curb all types of content against the national narrative and the country’s security.
All provinces agreed to enhance cooperation and inter-provincial coordination for national security and harmony, sources said.
To promote the national narrative among the youth, films and dramas will feature patriotic themes, sources added.
The meeting also decided to broadcast content on digital media to strengthen the national narrative.
Fake news on social media must be countered, the meeting resolved.
Deepfake content and misinformation will be tackled with verified and authentic information, the meeting decided.
The meeting also resolved to include awareness about terrorism in the national curriculum.
