Drop in temperature predicted for Karachi

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast a drop in temperature in Karachi starting today, with sea breeze expected to resume by evening.
In the next 24 hours, the city will remain hot, but relief is likely as winds pick up and the temperature is likely to fall in Karachi .
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.

Balochistan will also see hot conditions across most districts.
In Murree, Galiyat, and nearby regions, partly cloudy skies are likely.
Dust storms may hit several parts of Sindh, the Met Office added.
Rain and strong winds are expected in Kohistan, Battagram, and Shangla, while thunderstorms with rain is also likely in Swat and Dir.
Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir may see light rain with thunder at a few places.
The NDMA has advised citizens to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions during the hot spell. Health experts have also advised people to avoid getting out in the sun unnecessarily, specially from 11am to 4pm.
