Thunderstorm, rain predicted for Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Strong winds, dust storms, and thunderstorms with rain are likely today in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and upper parts of Balochistan.

According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorm is expected in Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum.l.

Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Faisalabad, Sargodha, and Khushab are also likely to see showers.

Light to moderate rain is expected in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, and Sahiwal.

In Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and surrounding areas, rain is also predicted.

Strong winds are expected in upper districts of Balochistan, which may cause a drop in temperature in some areas.

The Met Office has advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and stay updated with the latest weather alerts.

KARACHI WEATHER

Meanwhile weather in Karachi will remain hot and humid. The daytime temperatures are expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius on Monday afternoon but will feel like 41 degrees Celsius.

Severe heat wave is expected in Karachi from May 15 till May 20 with no rain predicted in the near future.
