The complete nomenclature of Bahauddin Zakariya reveals itself as Sheikh Kabir Sheikhul Salam Bahauddin Zakariya Al-Asadi-Al Hashmi. Born in the village of Kot Kehror situated within Layyah district, proximate to Multan, in the year 1170 Hijri, his journey unfolded following his father’s demise.
Embarking on a sojourn to Khorasan, he imbibed the teachings of Islam for an extended span spanning seven years. This erudition quest then led him to Bukhara, a paramount center of Islamic scholarship during that era, where he consummated his profound acquisition of knowledge.
