Firing erupts in Hub constituency, two dead and 10 injured

Firing broke out between two opposing political factions in the city of Hub, Balochitan

HUB: At least two people were killed and ten others injured when firing broke out between rival political factions in the city of Hub, Balochistan on Wednesday.

According to local sources, the incident occurred in PB-21 Hub, a constituency within the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan.

As per reports, the entire area was closed off on Tuesday due to on-going protests against election results. Tensions escalated when a scuffle broke out around 9 pm over vote recounting.

Muhammad Saleh Bhootani from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) was declared the winner from the constituency with 30,910 votes.

Rescue personnel are currently present at the scene.
