DUBAI: The Abu Dhabi government has announced the ‘Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy 2025-2027’, marking a significant advance towards creating an AI-driven administration.
Led by the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE) in partnership with various government entities, this initiative aims to position Abu Dhabi as a global frontrunner in AI-enhanced governance, with an investment of AED 13 billion earmarked for the next three years, reported Nukta.com
Abu Dhabi becomes world’s wealthiest city with $1.7 trillion in sovereign wealth funds
Key goals of the strategy include establishing a robust digital infrastructure focused on 100% adoption of sovereign cloud computing, fully digitising and automating government operations, and introducing a unified enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
The initiative’s ‘AI for All’ programme is designed to empower citizens through AI training and education while implementing over 200 innovative AI solutions within government services. A strong emphasis will also be placed on cybersecurity, with advanced digital frameworks being introduced to pre-emptively address emerging threats and maintain high security standards.
According to Ahmed Hisham Al Kuttab, the chairman of the DGE, this strategy embodies “our leadership’s vision to seamlessly integrate AI across government systems, fostering a technology-driven future. It will revolutionize public services, enhance operational efficiency, and stimulate sustainable economic growth.”
Building on previous initiatives like TAMM 3.0 and the Effortless Customer Experience Program, the strategy is projected to contribute AED 24 billion to Abu Dhabi’s GDP by 2027, create over 5,000 jobs, and bolster Emiratisation efforts.
Moreover, partnerships with entities such as Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, the Advanced Technology Research Council, G42, and other global partners will enhance Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a leader in digital governance and sustainable development.
