Airbus sets sights on manufacturing A400M components in UAE

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Airbus is actively pursuing opportunities to manufacture critical components for the A400M aircraft in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a move that aims to enhance the country’s standing in the global aerospace sector.

In an interview with Emirates News Agency (WAM), Gabriel Sémelas, President of Airbus for Africa and the Middle East, underscored that this initiative would strengthen the integration of UAE-based companies, such as EPI and Strata, into Airbus’s global supply chain.

As part of this strategic expansion, Airbus plans to set up comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facilities specifically for the A400M military transport aircraft, in addition to establishing a dedicated training center.
