Apple confirms WWDC 2025 dates, promises big changes to iOS, macOS, and more

iOS 19

CALIFORNIA: Apple has officially confirmed that the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 will be held from June 9 to June 13 at Apple Park in California.

The tech company shared in a press release that the event will primarily be virtual, though developers and students will also have the chance to attend a special in-person session at Apple Park on June 9.

The conference will be free for all developers, and Apple plans to showcase the latest innovations in its software. Attendees will have access to Apple experts and gain insight into the company’s new tools, features, and frameworks.

While the bulk of the event will be held online, the in-person event at Apple Park will have limited seating, and those interested must apply through the WWDC25 website.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed enthusiasm about this year’s event. “We’re excited to celebrate another great year of WWDC with our developer community. We can’t wait to share the latest tools and technologies to help developers continue creating innovative experiences,” she said.

During the conference, Apple is expected to introduce its latest operating systems, which include iOS 19, iPadOS 19, visionOS 3, tvOS 19, macOS 16, and watchOS 12.

According to various reports, iOS 19 is shaping up to be one of Apple’s most significant updates. It will reportedly feature a major redesign, bringing changes to icons, menus, apps, and navigation, simplifying the way users interact with their devices. Some are saying it will be the most extensive overhaul since iOS 7 was released in 2013.

In addition, macOS 16 and iPadOS 19 are expected to receive notable design updates, as part of Apple’s broader goal to create a more cohesive and seamless experience across its range of products.
