Bedian Road Underpass connecting DHA Phase 6 to DHA Phase 5 is now open

WEB DESK: In a recent announcement, the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore informed the public about the inauguration of the Bedian Road Underpass, linking DHA Phase 6 to DHA Phase 5.

The completion of this signal-free route has not only transformed the overall appearance of the road but has also given it a modern and clean aesthetic, enhanced by beautiful lighting.

Previously, residents of neighbouring housing societies encountered various challenges in commuting during the construction phase.

Those residing in Askari 11 Lahore, Pace Woodlands, DHA Phase 9 Town, DHA Phase 6, DHA Phase 5, and Bankers Society were unable to use the route for their daily commute.

Additionally, individuals living near Bedian Road faced difficulties accessing the Ring Road from the Bedian Road ramp due to ongoing construction.

However, the underpass is now fully operational and open to the public.

According to reports, it has significantly improved traffic flow, alleviating congestion issues previously observed at the roundabout between DHA Phase 6 and DHA Phase 5.

Since the opening of the Bedian Road underpass, traffic jams have become a rarity.

Residents travelling from the Nawaz Sharif Interchange route to Askari 11 and those heading to Avicenna Medical College via Bedian Road Lahore will also benefit from this development.

Furthermore, the underpass connecting DHA Phase 9 Town to DHA Phase 6 is already accessible for DHA Phase 9 Town residents, as well as individuals travelling from DHA Phase 6 to DHA Phase 9 Town or Askari 11’s Sector C, Sector B, and Sector A.
