Bike, rickshaw sales jump 35 per cent in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Motorcycle and three-wheeler sales in Pakistan jumped 35 per cent in October and reached 137,693 units, compared to 101,976 units sold in the same month last year.
On a month-to-month basis, sales were 5.14 per cent higher than the 130,960 units sold in September 2024.
For the first four months of the fiscal year, total sales reached 457,880 units, up 23.43 per cent from the 370,966 units sold during the same period last year.
Production was also up, with 136,926 units manufactured in October, showing a 27.88 per cent increase from 107,078 units in October. This marked an 8.16 per cent rise from the 126,597 units produced in September 2024.
Honda maintained its lead in the market, selling 115,293 motorcycles in October, which represents an 83.73 per cent market share. This was a 4.68 per cent increase from September and a 27.93 per cent rise from October 2023. United sold 14,343 units, and Sazgar came in third with 2,401 units.
Suzuki sales increased 6.49 per cent MoM as the company sold 2,182 motorcycles in October. This was a 78.85 per cent jump from October 2023.
