Caretaker CM formally inaugurates Bannu Economic Zone

PESHAWAR: Former chief justice and current caretaker chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Arshad Hussain Shah, officially inaugurated the Bannu Economic Zone in Peshawar. This initiative marks a crucial step towards economic growth and prosperity in the region.

During the inauguration ceremony, allotment letters for plots in the Bannu Economic Zone were also distributed. The economic zone is poised to accommodate 265 industries, spanning an expansive area of 415 acres. This strategic endeavour is anticipated to attract an impressive investment of approximately Rs 10 billion.

Notably, the Bannu Economic Zone is expected to be a catalyst for job creation, providing a ray of hope for the local workforce. A staggering 16,000 direct job opportunities are set to be generated within Peshawar, underscoring the socio-economic impact of this ambitious project.

Moreover, the economic zone is projected to create an additional 48,000 direct employment opportunities, contributing significantly to the overall employment scenario in the region.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the provincial government to foster economic development, attract investments, and address unemployment challenges. As the Bannu Economic Zone takes shape, it holds the promise of transforming Peshawar into a vibrant economic hub, providing a conducive environment for industrial growth and prosperity.
