FBR exceeds monthly revenue target, collects Rs760 billion

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has surpassed its revenue collection target for May 2024, with a revenue collection of Rs760 billion.

The revenue board exceeded the set target of Rs745 billion rupees for the month.

The FBR saw an increase of 31 per cent in total revenue collection during the first 11 months of the current fiscal year. There was also a 43 per cent increase in domestic taxes recorded for the month of May, the FBR reported.

The FBR spokesperson talked about the department’s dedication and effort in surpassing the target, while the FBR Chairman expressed satisfaction and appreciation for the officers and staff in achieving this milestone.”
