Govt to spend Rs200 million on Ferozepur Road Lahore upgradation

Lahore Ferozpur road upgradation project

LAHORE: In response to directives from the caretaker Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has formulated a comprehensive plan to upgrade Ferozepur Road in Lahore in an effort to enhance traffic flow along the metro bus track.

The current state of Ferozepur Road, one of Lahore’s busiest roads, has deteriorated significantly due to the construction of two major projects.

Consequently, traffic movement on this vital thoroughfare has experienced notable delays.

Under the guidance of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, the LDA has allocated a budget exceeding Rs200 million for the rehabilitation project, encompassing the resurfacing of Ferozepur Road.

Additionally, enhancements to walkways are slated to be a part of the comprehensive plan.

The Lahore Development Authority is committed to completing the road rehabilitation work within a swift timeframe of three months, ensuring a smoother and more efficient traffic flow on Ferozepur Road.
