Finance Minister leads delegation to US for financial cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has embarked on a week-long diplomatic journey to the United States.
The visit is aimed at fostering international financial cooperation. Accompanying him on this crucial mission are State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman, and the Secretary of Finance.

During the visit, Minister Aurangzeb and his delegation are scheduled to engage in high-level discussions with officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB). Of notable interest is the Minister’s intention to deliberate on a potential new program with the IMF, as hinted by inside sources privy to the discussions.
