KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) finally got a breather on Thursday in the outgoing week, when the index closed nearly 760 points up. Friday continued the positive trend, but Monday reversed it once again.
Yesterday (Monday), the benchmark KSE-100 index opened at Friday’s closing of 78,569.58 points, amidst a sentiment of positivity in the socio-political situation of the country.
Initially, the index posted growth, touching the day’s highest at 78,886 points, but towards the end of the day started losing again. By the end of the trading day, PSX had lost 589.30 points to close at 77,980.29 points.
Today (Tuesday), the benchmark KSE-100 opens at yesterday’s closing amidst uncertain political situation again, which probably also caused yesterday’s downturn.
