French delegation shows interest in investing in Pakistan’s energy sector


ISLAMABAD: A French delegation led by Deputy Head of Mission Guillaume Dabouis on Thursday expressed strong interest in investing in Pakistan’s energy sector during a meeting with Minister of Energy Dr Musadik Masood Malik in Islamabad.

The French officials highlighted their enthusiasm for investing in various aspects of Pakistan’s energy landscape, including LNG cargo provision, energy resource exploration, and projects aimed at bolstering energy trading, distribution, and transmission within the country.

Furthermore, the delegation conveyed a keen interest in initiatives focused on minimizing line losses and rejuvenating Pakistan’s energy sector comprehensively. Minister Malik reaffirmed the government’s commitment to tackling the nation’s persistent energy challenges, stressing a departure from fragmented strategies.

He assured that the new administration would approach the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with a meticulously prepared plan.
