WEB DESK: Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC) has officially declared a temporary suspension of gas supply to industries, power generation installations in factories, and CNG stations for a duration of 48 hours.
The decision, driven by the inadequacy of gas pressure, will be effective from Saturday, 8 am., to Monday, 8 am.
The company’s management cited the necessity of this measure to address the current challenges posed by insufficient gas pressure. This temporary discontinuation aligns with SSGC’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its gas supply network.
In accordance with governmental directives and the decision of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), gas companies, including SSGC, have received explicit instructions to prioritise the uninterrupted supply of gas to residential consumers during this period.
It is imperative to highlight that Sui Southern Gas Company Limited primarily focuses on the transmission and distribution of natural gas in the regions of Sindh and Baluchistan.
Additionally, the company is actively involved in various aspects of the gas industry, including the manufacturing and sale of gas metres, along with executing construction contracts for pipeline installations.
The temporary suspension of gas supply to certain sectors reflects SSGC’s commitment to ensuring a balanced and sustainable distribution of this vital resource.
