Gold price falls by Rs500 per tola


Gold price decline in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan saw a decline on Saturday, following an increase in the previous session and a drop in international rates. Locally, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs500 to Rs256,800.

The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the cost of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs429, settling at Rs220,165.

This decline comes after a notable rise on Friday, when the price of gold per tola surged by Rs2,400 to a record-high of Rs257,300.

Internationally, gold prices also fell on Saturday. The APGJSA indicated that the global rate for gold was $2,443 per ounce, including a $20 premium, marking a $15 decrease for the day.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,900 per tola.
