Gold price falls Rs700 per tola from all-time high

KARACHI: After touching a record high in the previous session, gold price in Pakistan decreased on Thursday, with 24-karat gold being sold at Rs287,200 per tola.

The latest rate is Rs700 per tola down from the previous closing.

The Karachi Sarafa Association reported the price of 24-karat gold at Rs246,228 per 10-gramme, down by Rs600.

It is worth noting that the gold price in Pakistan was recorded at an all-time level of Rs287,900 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold was quoted lower at Rs225,709 per 10-gramme.

On the other hand, silver prices after remaining stable in the previous session rose in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,450 per tola after increasing by Rs100.

The price of 10-gramme gold was recorded Rs86 up at Rs2,958.

On the global front, spot gold traded near $2,779 an ounce, down $5.7 or 0.21 per cent from the previous session.
