Gold price goes up in Pakistan

KARACHI: The price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan witnessed an increase of Rs300 per Tola on Tuesday settling at Rs219,600.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the closing price for 10 grammes of 24-karat gold stood at Rs1,88,272 after an increase of Rs258.

The price of gold in the global market remained at $2,052 per ounce.

Separately, Pakistan’s benchmark KSE-100 index fell 4.11 per cent on Tuesday, its biggest one-day drop in more than a year, as political uncertainty and profit-taking weighed on investor sentiment.
