Gold price increases by Rs1,200 to Rs257,700 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced an increase on Tuesday, mirroring the rise in international gold rates. In the local market, the price of gold per tola surged to Rs257,700, reflecting an addition of Rs1,200.
The price for 10 grammes of gold also rose, reaching Rs220,936, a gain of Rs1,029, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This follows a previous session on Monday, when gold prices remained steady at Rs256,500 per tola.
The international gold rate climbed on Tuesday, with the price reaching $2,458 per ounce, including a $20 premium. This marks an increase of $19 from the previous day.
In contrast, silver prices remained stable at Rs2,850 per tola. Last month, gold prices hit a record high, with the per tola rate peaking at Rs257,300, reflecting an increase of Rs2,400.
