Gold price drops by Rs300 locally, $3 globally


KARACHI: Gold price in the local market saw a notable decrease after dipping $3 per ounce in the international market.

The price of 24 karat gold in the local bullion market dropped by Rs300 per tola to Rs267,400 per tola.

On the other hand, the ten gramme gold’s rate on Saturday in the local market was recorded at Rs229,252 after dipping by Rs258.

The latest drop comes after Friday’s Rs1,300 per tola surge in the 24 karat gold rate, which took the precious metal’s rate to Rs267,700.

Silver prices in Pakistan remained unchanged as one tola rate was reported around Rs3,250, while ten gramme rate was quoted at Rs2,786.

In the international market, the gold price was recorded at $2,562 following a decline of $3.
