Gold prices witness massive decline in Pakistan

WEB DESK: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant drop on Saturday, aligning with a decline in the international market. After remaining stable on Friday, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs3,600, settling at Rs239,400.

The rate for 10 grammes of gold also saw a decrease, dropping by Rs3,086 to Rs205,247, as reported by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The international gold market mirrored this trend, with the price per ounce decreasing by $70, bringing it to $2,292 with an additional premium of $20, according to APGJSA.

Additionally, the price of silver in the local market also saw a reduction, falling by Rs50 to Rs2,750 per tola.

It is noteworthy that in April, gold prices in Pakistan reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola.
