Gold hits all-time high of Rs314,000 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices surged to a new all-time high in Pakistan on Friday, reflecting the rise in international markets.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed to Rs314,000 following a single-day increase of Rs4,700.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold reached Rs269,204, after seeing an increase of Rs4,030.
On Thursday, the price per tola of gold had already gone up by Rs2,800.
Internationally, the price of gold also rose on Friday. APGJSA reported that gold stood at $2,988 per ounce, including a $20 premium, marking a $46 increase for the day.
In addition, the price of silver rose by Rs90, bringing it to Rs3,530 per tola.
