Gold prices decline in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan have declined by Rs 1400 per tola on Saturday in line with the drop in the international bullion market

The price of 24-carat gold per tola dropped by Rs. 1400, settling at Rs. 240,300, while the price per 10 grams fell by Rs. 1200, reaching Rs. 206,019.

The price of gold per ounce fell by $16, bringing it down to $2326 in the International market.

Representatives from the bullion market stated that due to the affected purchasing power and a significant reduction in gold trading activities, the local gold price is set Rs. 3000 below the international rate despite the global price increase.

Similarly, the price of silver per tola decreased by Rs. 80, now priced at Rs. 2820, while the price per 10 grams of silver saw a reduction of Rs. 68.58, bringing it to Rs. 2417.70.
