Gold prices reach new record high at Rs 275,500 per tola in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new record on Wednesday, continuing their upward trend in line with rising international rates.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola increased by Rs 2,500, reaching an all-time high of Rs 275,500, according to data from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs 2,144 to stand at Rs 236,197.
Gold price touches new heights; reaches Rs 273,000 per tola
This follows a previous increase on Tuesday, when gold prices had gone up by Rs 1,100, bringing the rate to Rs 273,000 per tola.
On the international front, gold prices continued their climb on Wednesday, with the rate rising by $25 to reach $2,653 per ounce (including a $20 premium), as reported by APGJSA.
Silver prices also saw a rise, increasing by Rs 100 to Rs 3,050 per tola.
Experts point to a range of global factors contributing to the recent spike in gold prices, including the growing demand from major markets such as China and India.
