Gold price increases by Rs1,000 per tola

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan experienced an increase on Friday. The price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs1,000 to reach Rs251,500 per tola.

According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price for 24-karat gold was set at Rs215,621 per 10 grammes, marking an increase of Rs858. Similarly, the price of 22-karat gold also saw a rise, now quoted at Rs197,652 per 10 grammes.

In contrast, silver prices remained stable in the local market. The price for 24-karat silver stayed at Rs2,860 per tola and Rs2,452 per 10 grammes.

Globally, spot gold was trading at approximately $2,379 per ounce, reflecting a gain of $15.40, or 0.65 per cent, from the previous session.
