Imported makeup items become more expensive

ISLAMABAD: The government has increased the duty on imported makeup products, making them more expensive.

According to a recently issued notification, the new duties have been set to control the import of non-essential luxury items.

The duty on imported combs, fake hair clips, and other hair accessories has been increased to 40 per cent, according to the notification .

Additionally, the duty on imported perfumes and sprays has been set at 20 per cent. Imported watches, including stopwatches and pocket watches, will now have a duty of 30 per cent.

The notification also states that the duty on imported sunglasses has been increased to 30 per cent.
