PKR likely to end the week marginally stronger against USD

KARACHI: The Pakistani rupee (PKR) showed resilience against the US dollar (USD) on Friday, appreciating by 0.1 per cent during early trading in the inter-bank market.
Around 11 am, the rupee was trading at 278.40 against the greenback, marking a gain of 29 paisa. This movement suggests the Pakistani currency may conclude the last trading day of the week on a positive note.
On Thursday, the local currency had closed at 278.69 per US dollar, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Over recent months, the rupee has generally fluctuated between 277 and 279 against the dollar, with traders noting several favourable economic indicators.
