ISLAMABAD: Apple iPhone 16 prices have reached their lowest point since their launch in September 2024. Despite the absence of an official Apple store in Pakistan, several distributors import the latest iPhones every year and sell them locally.
These distributors, often referred to as “official distributors,” offer iPhones that are already PTA-approved, meaning customers do not need to pay the PTA charges separately.
Buyers simply pay the listed price, insert their SIM card, and the phone operates like a PTA-approved and fully legal device.
Following the latest price revisions, here is the price list for all PTA-approved iPhone 16 series smartphones for:
Model | Storage | New price | Old price |
iPhone 16 | 128 GB | Rs317,000 | Rs369,000 |
iPhone 16 | 256 GB | Rs354,000 | Rs407,500 |
iPhone 16 | 512 GB | Rs430,000 | Rs485,500 |
iPhone 16 Plus | 128 GB | Rs364,000 | Rs407,500 |
iPhone 16 Plus | 256 GB | Rs393,000 | Rs446,500 |
iPhone 16 Plus | 512 GB | Rs468,000 | Rs524,000 |
iPhone 16 Pro | 128 GB | Rs397,000 | Rs460,000 |
iPhone 16 Pro | 256 GB | Rs434,000 | Rs498,500 |

iPhone 16 Pro Max | 256 GB | Rs473,500 | Rs540,500 |
iPhone 16 Pro Max | 512 GB | Rs548,000 | Rs618,500 |
iPhone 16 Pro Max | 1 TB | Rs624,000 | Rs700,000 |
Recent reports indicate that the PTA tax on the iPhone 16 series has been reduced. The new tax rates vary depending on whether the phone is registered with a passport or a CNIC.
For the standard iPhone 16 model, the PTA tax is set at Rs107,325 with a passport and Rs130,708 with a CNIC. The iPhone 16 Plus will incur a tax of Rs113,075 with a passport and Rs137,033 with a CNIC.
For the iPhone 16 Pro, the tax amounts to Rs135,300 with a passport and Rs161,480 with a CNIC. Lastly, the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a tax of Rs148,500 with a passport and Rs176,000 with a CNIC.
iPhones remain luxury items in Pakistan due to their high prices, which limits the number of distributors in the country. However, there are some reliable distributors catering to customers who can afford these flagship devices.
It is also worth noting that prices in the local market can vary significantly. For instance, some shopkeepers are offering the iPhone 16 Pro Max for as low as Rs520,000, which is much lower than the prices offered by official distributors like Mercantile or Gnext.
While buying from local shops may result in lower prices, purchasing from established distributors is generally considered more reliable than randomly buying from market shopkeepers.
