Isuzu D-Max GTX price reduced by Rs1.3 million

Isuzu D Max price reduced in Pakistan

WEB DESK: In a recent development highlighting a trend in Pakistan’s automotive industry, Ghandhara Industries Ltd. (Isuzu Pakistan), has reduced the price of its Isuzu D-Max GTX Edition by Rs1.3 million.

This adjustment comes amid similar pricing shifts by other major car manufacturers, signalling a collective effort to make vehicles more affordable for consumers in the current economic landscape.

The price cut follows moves by several key industry players, including Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company, Peugeot Pakistan, JW Forland, Kia Lucky Motors, and Changan, all of which have reduced vehicle prices.

This broader trend suggests that automotive companies are responding to consumer demand for lower-priced vehicles.

After the recent price reduction, the Isuzu D-Max GTX Edition is now available at Rs1.24 million, down from the previous price of Rs1.37 million.

This price adjustment was confirmed via Isuzu Pakistan’s official social media accounts. Although the GTX Edition was initially priced at Rs1.24 million when launched in January 2024, the exact timeline for when its price was increased to Rs1.37 million remains unclear.

The Isuzu D-Max was initially marketed as a competitor to the popular Toyota Hilux Revo. However, the D-Max has struggled to achieve similar success in terms of sales and market recognition.

The GTX variant, introduced earlier this year, offered several additional features compared to the D-Max 4×4 V-Cross 3.0L, such as sonar sensors, a bonnet deflector, a cargo extender, a piano black interior, a mobile wireless charger, a bonnet shocker, a deck rubber mat, a spare tyre lock, a tailgate sling-up, a tailgate ornament, a rear lamp garnish, and illuminated rocker plates.

Despite these enhancements, sales for the D-Max have remained low, with an average of just 11 units sold per month, making it one of the worst-selling vehicles in Pakistan.

According to CarSpiritPK, the company had introduced the GTX variant to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the Isuzu D-Max’s presence in the Pakistani market, but it has yet to achieve the hoped-for boost in popularity.

As the automotive industry continues to navigate economic pressures and shifting consumer preferences, it remains to be seen whether these price reductions will be enough to revive sales and attract a larger customer base.
