Strategic robbery: armed robbers in Karachi snatch 110 mobiles at gunpoint

KARACHI: In a recent incident in Karachi, a shocking robbery took place in the Korangi Industrial Area. The victim, Muhammad Nadim, a local shopkeeper, reported the crime to the authorities.

According to Nadim’s statement in the First Information Report (FIR), he had gone to purchase mobile phones and chargers for his shop in Malik Usman Bilal Colony.

After buying 110 mobile phones and 2 chargers worth a total of Rs1,420,000, Nadim was on his way back to his shop in a rickshaw.

During the journey, the rickshaw driver suddenly stopped at Chamra Chorangi, claiming a fuel problem. Seizing the opportunity, four armed robbers on three motorbikes surrounded Nadim.

According to ARY News, at gunpoint, they snatched all 110 mobile phones, the chargers, and even Nadim’s licenced pistol.

Disturbingly, Nadim suspected the rickshaw driver’s involvement in the crime.

Upon investigation, the driver was apprehended and brought before the court for further legal proceedings.

This incident serves as a stark reminder of the rising crime rates in the city, leaving citizens concerned about their safety and security.
