KARACHI: Kia Motors Pakistan has announced a sharp reduction in prices for its Sportage L lineup, while Pak Suzuki and Kia Picanto have gone the other way, raising prices of their popular models.
According to a company notification, Kia Motors has slashed prices by up to Rs. 1.85 million of its Sportage lineup, effective May 1, 2025.
The Kia Sportage L HEV now costs Rs10,999,000, down from Rs12,850,000, while the Sportage L FWD is now priced at Rs9,999,000, reduced from Rs11,825,000.
The base variant, Sportage L Alpha, has seen a cut of Rs1 million, bringing its price down to Rs8,499,000.
Kia said this step reflects its commitment to offering “premium vehicles with modern design and safety at better prices.”
KIA PICANTO GETS A PRICE BUMP
Meanwhile, Lucky Motor Corporation has announced a Rs90,000 price hike for the Kia Picanto (AT). The new ex-factory rate is Rs3,940,000, effective from May 1.
However, customers who booked and paid in full before April 30 will be charged the old price of Rs3,850,000.
LMC said the hike was due to market shifts but assured continued quality and value. The revised price excludes freight, insurance, and any new government taxes.
SUZUKI HIKES PRICES AGAIN
In contrast to Kia’s cut, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Limited (PSMCL) has raised prices of several models, its second increase since February.
The Suzuki Swift GL MT has gone up by Rs80,000, reaching Rs4,416,000.
The Cultus VXR, VXL, and AGS variants now cost Rs4,230,000, Rs4,316,000, and Rs4,618,000, respectively, an increase of up to Rs372,000.
