Petrol price in Pakistan to remain unchanged for next fortnight

WEB DESK: The interim government has announced its decision to maintain the current petrol price for the next fortnight in Pakistan.

As a result, the price of petrol will remain steady at Rs283.38 per litre, and diesel will continue to be priced at Rs304.05 per litre.

Earlier, there were speculations circulating that the government might reduce the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs20 and Rs16 per litre, respectively.

However, these rumours have been dispelled with the recent government announcement.

It’s worth noting that at the end of October, the government had imposed a levy of Rs60 per litre on petrol and Rs55 per litre on diesel, which had affected fuel prices.
