Lahore Development Authority aims for paperless future

WEB DESK: In a significant move, Punjab Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman has issued a directive mandating the comprehensive digitisation of the Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) entire record within a strict deadline of 60 days.
The announcement came during his recent visit to the LDA’s One Window Cell, where he personally oversaw the proceedings.
With a firm resolve, he instructed the concerned officials to ensure the swift digitization of all LDA records, setting a challenging but necessary target of completion within the next two months.
During his visit, Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar engaged with citizens, seeking their feedback on the services provided at the One Window Cell.
In a display of proactive governance, he promptly addressed complaints regarding delays in cases from Mohlanwal and Johar Town, emphasising the importance of timely resolutions.
In addition to his direct involvement, the Chief Secretary chaired a high-level meeting aimed at evaluating the performance of LDA’s One Window Cell.

During this session, he underscored the critical role that digitising records plays in ensuring that the public can fully avail themselves of the benefits offered by the One Window Cell.
