Petrol price in Pakistan reduced by Rs14 per litre for the next two weeks

WEB DESK: In a significant relief for the inflation-hit masses, the petrol price in Pakistan has been reduced by Rs14 per litre to Rs267.34 for the next two weeks. Conversely, the diesel price in Pakistan has experienced a reduction of Rs13.50 per litre, with the new price for diesel now standing at Rs276.21.
Along with the reduction in petrol and diesel prices, the cost of kerosene oil has also been cut by Rs10.14 per litre, now priced at Rs191.02. Additionally, the price of light diesel oil will be Rs164.64 per litre after a reduction of Rs11.29.
It is noteworthy that the revised petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan will take effect after 12 am.
These adjustments in petroleum prices will remain effective until the next fortnightly review in all cities of Pakistan, including Lahore, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Karachi.
Prior to this adjustment, the petrol price in Pakistan stood at Rs281.34 per litre. In the preceding fortnightly review on December 1, the government retained the petrol price at Rs281.34 per litre.
Simultaneously, there was a reduction of Rs7 per litre in the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) and a decrease of Rs3.82 per litre in the price of kerosene oil.
